Reading
I'm still trucking along on this reading journey! I recently finished The Maid by Nita Prose. It was a cute little murder mystery, and it went by quick! Will I be reading the next book in the series? Probably not!
I also got my signed Copy of 107 Days in the mail this week, and I can't wait to read it! This book undoubtedly serves as a piece of history, and I'm so happy to have it in my library.
Shopping
I have been on the hunt for good work pants for well over a year. They are always too long, too ill-fitting at the top, fading too quickly, or just too expensive! I know I don't like wide leg pants, so when I saw Abercrombie come out with tailored straight pants, I had to bite the bullet. I'm not exaggerating when I say these are THE best fitting pants I have ever worn. I need them in every color, and I need Abercrombie to continue making them in more colors. Be sure to catch them on sale though!
Speaking of wide leg pants, I decided to try on some jeans at J. Crew and J. Crew Factory. I'm still not sure how I feel, but at least they are starting to come out with Curve-style jeans! Let me know what you think.
I have been eyeing these loafers from Sam Edelman, and I finally picked them up from Nordstrom. These will easily become a fall staple!
Fall home shopping has also been in full effect! I went into Anthropologie specifically for the Pumpkin and Sweet Vanilla candle, and I found it in this gorgeous tortoise jar! Turns out the candles were on sale, so I also picked up Pumpkin Clove. If you can't tell, I'm obsessed with candles 😂. I also got some fall hand soaps from Home Goods.
*Side note* I took these pictures in Portrait mode on my iPhone 16 Pro. I'm amazed!
Listening
It's honestly rare for me to play an album over and over, but Leon Bridge's latest album, Leon, has me in a chokehold! It screams Autumn to me, and I cannot get enough. It had a hold on me last year too 😂. Please listen!
I also visited D'Angelo's Brown Sugar album in light of his passing, and I'm absolutely blown away. I knew some songs before, but now I'm searching everywhere for the album on vinyl. Of course, it's sold out. But in the meantime, I can't stop listening to "When We Get By."
